Malta-based online casino operator Casumo announces its new permanent CEO – Francesco Postiglione, who starts the job on March 2023.Â
Postiglione has 16 years of experience in the online gambling industry, with his most recent position being CEO of Croatian sports betting giant Hattrick-PSK. Previously he’d made his name in the Italian market, having been the online CEO of Napoleon Sports & Casino and managing director of international markets at Betclic.Â
Casumo’s Previous CEO
Before Postiglione, the CEO of Casumo was co-founder Oscar Simonsson, who had to take the reins of the company following the departure of former CEO Shelly Suter-Hadad back in April 2022.Â
“Francesco is the ideal candidate to take the helm at Casumo and we are confident that he will bring his wealth of experience and passion for innovation to the role,” Simonsson says. “We are thrilled to welcome him to the Casumo Group and are confident that his expertise and leadership will take our company to new heights.”Â
Casumo holds UK, Malga, Sweden and Spain licenses, and employs over 300 staff across offices in Malta, Barcelona and Gibraltar. July 2022 saw the casino go through a spot of trouble with the Danish Gambling Authority (DGA), who accused it of breaching the country’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) act months after it withdrew its Danish license.Â
